Why is my experience not bookable or requestable?

In this article, we’ll show you the steps you need to take in your experience setup to ensure your offers are bookable or requestable – either directly via Giggle or via an external booking link.

  1. Add events or availabilities

  2. Set up booking settings, email recipient & ticket

  3. Final review checklist

✅ First things first

For your experience to be bookable or requestable, two key steps in the CMS must be correctly set:

  • Step 2: “When does the experience take place?”

  • Step 3: “Is the experience bookable?”

1. 📅 Step 2: Add Events or Availabilities

🔹 Option A: Events (fixed dates with registration)

  • Add specific dates for your experience (e.g. hikes, yoga sessions, wine tastings).

  • Under Step 3, activate “Is the experience bookable” → switch to “Yes” and add at least one email address and one ticket.

  • Guests can sign up directly for a scheduled time

  • They will receive an automatic confirmation email

💡 Tip:
We recommend updating your events at least once per season to keep your experience active and visible.

⚠️ Important:
If no upcoming events are set, the experience will no longer be bookable, even if Step 3 is enabled.

🔹 Option B: Availabilities (flexible request)

  • Ideal for custom or private experiences (e.g. massages, private dinners, coaching sessions)

  • Guests can view your available time slots

  • They send a non-binding request for a preferred time

📝 Example:
You define that the experience is available for requests Monday to Friday, either in the morning or afternoon.

2. 📨 Step 3: Booking settings, Email & Tickets

To ensure your experience is actually bookable or requestable via Giggle, you need to complete the booking setup in Step 3:

✔️ Add at least one email address

So that you or your team can be automatically notified of new bookings or requests.

✔️ Create at least one ticket

Without a ticket, the experience cannot be booked or requested.

Give the ticket a clear name (e.g. “Massage 30 Min.”, “Hatha Yoga”, “Picnic Basket Deluxe”).

Optional additions:

  • Ticket description (e.g. “Price per person for in-house guests incl. ...”)

  • Set a price or mark the ticket as free of charge

  • Add multiple ticket types (e.g. Adult/Child, In-house/External guests)

💡 Tip:
If this is an externally bookable experience, you can disable Giggle booking under the optional ticket settings and instead add an external booking link and/or call button.

✅ Final Checklist

To make your experience bookable or requestable, check the following:

✔️ Events or availabilities are added in Step 2
✔️ Booking is activated in Step 3
✔️ At least one email recipient and a named ticket are added

OR:

✔️ Giggle booking is deactivated
✔️ An external booking link and/or call button is active instead

Only if these conditions are met will your experience be properly displayed and available for booking or inquiry.
