In this article, you'll learn when you and your guests receive automatic email notifications – and which settings you can customize or deactivate if needed.
📧 1. Automatic Emails for Requests & Bookings
As soon as a guest submits a request or booking via Giggle:
-
The guest automatically receives an email confirmation or a message stating that their request/booking was successfully submitted
-
Simultaneously, a notification is sent to the email address saved for that experience (e.g. reception, spa, or third-party provider)
💬 Tip: You can assign multiple recipient email addresses per experience. If you're working with external partners, make sure to inform them about these automated emails so they can recognize incoming requests/bookings.
✅ 2. Automatic Emails with Minimum Participant Settings
If you've set a minimum number of participants under Point 3 in the experience → "Optional settings", you can choose between three automation options:
Option 1: Immediate Confirmation to Guest (Default)
By default, guests will receive an automatic confirmation even when a minimum number of participants is required.
If the minimum is not reached, you can manually cancel the booking and add a custom message.
Option 2: Provisional Confirmation with “Reply Pending”
Enable this option via Settings > Advanced Settings (switch: "Minimum participant number not reached").
-
Guests will receive a provisional confirmation with the note: "Reply pending"
-
Once the minimum number is reached, new bookings are automatically confirmed
-
Unconfirmed bookings can be manually confirmed or cancelled under Requests & Bookings (individually or for the entire event)
Option 3: Automatic Cancellation
Activate this under Settings > Advanced Settings (switch: "Automatically cancel bookings").
-
If the minimum participant number is not reached by the registration deadline, all open bookings are automatically cancelled via email
-
If the minimum is reached, all unconfirmed bookings will be automatically confirmed

🖊️ 3. Manually Confirming or Cancelling Individual Requests
For experiences with flexible availabilities instead of fixed events (e.g. private dinners, massages):
-
Guests will see a “Request” button (instead of “Register”)
-
After submitting, guests receive an automatic email confirming that the request was received, but without a final confirmation
🕐 Pending requests are marked with an orange hourglass in the CMS under Requests & Bookings.
Each request can be manually confirmed or cancelled in the detail view – with the option to add a personalized message.
✅ Summary
With Giggle, you stay in control of your booking communications:
✔️ Automatic confirmations for requests & bookings
✔️ Flexible automation options for minimum group sizes
✔️ Manual messaging for personalized experiences
