🧭 What Are Streams?

Streams are thematic collections of your experiences – for example:

  • Weekly Program

  • Relax & Spa

  • Kids & Family

  • Culinary Highlights

  • Nature & Outdoor Adventures

They help you:

  • Organize experiences clearly for guests

  • Display specific themes on different channels

  • Control how and where your content is shown (e.g., WebApp, website, email)

👉 Streams are the basis of your Experience WebApp (Giggle page)
👉 And for all widgets embedded on your website, booking tool, email system, etc.

➕ 1. Create a Stream

To create a new Stream:

  1. Go to Streams in your CMS menu

  2. Click “Create Stream”

  3. Enter a descriptive name (e.g. "Summer Specials", "Wellness & Spa", "Family Highlights")

  4. Choose the sorting type:

    • Manual (individual) – sort by Drag & Drop

    • Chronological – auto-sorted by event date

👉 Learn more: How to sort experiences – manually or by date

  1. Click Save – done!

✏️ 2. Edit Streams

You can edit any existing stream in the CMS:

  1. Go to Streams

  2. Click the three dots (⋮) next to a stream

  3. Choose “Edit Stream”

🔤 Rename the Stream

Update the stream name anytime.
💡 The name will update everywhere it’s used – on your website, in the WebApp, etc.

🔁 Change the Stream Type

Switch between:

  • Manual (individual) – you define the order via Drag & Drop

  • Chronological – experiences auto-sort by event date

⚠️ Important: This only affects the WebApp display.
If your stream is embedded elsewhere (e.g., your website), update the widget code too.

🗒️ Add a Note to the Stream

Add an internal comment so your team knows the stream’s purpose – e.g.:

  • “Integrated on homepage – update seasonally”

  • “Used for spring campaign landing page”

  • “Embedded in offer & confirmation emails”

💡 Notes are only visible in the CMS – helpful for team coordination.

➕ Manage Experiences Within Streams

You can:

  • Add or remove experiences

  • Manually reorder them (only for manual/individual streams)

In chronological streams, the order is based on event dates and cannot be changed manually.

📲 Add or Remove Streams in the WebApp

You decide if a stream appears in your Experience WebApp (Giggle page).

Ideal for cases where:

  • Some streams (e.g., "Highlights") should only be shown on the website

  • Others (e.g., "Day Spa") are not relevant for in-house guests

⚠️ Don’t Delete Streams Lightly

Only delete a stream if you're 100% sure it's not being used elsewhere.
A deleted stream disappears everywhere it was embedded:

  • Website

  • WebApp

  • Email tools

  • External integrations

✅ Better: Rename or hide the stream instead of deleting it.

💡 When a Stream Should Not Appear in the WebApp

🧭 Scenario 1: Highlight Stream (Web-Only)

You use a stream called "Highlights" on your homepage to show a few selected experiences.

These experiences are already listed in other topic-specific streams (e.g., Spa, Outdoor, Culinary).

If you show the "Highlights" stream in the WebApp, the experiences appear twice – which is usually not ideal.

✅ Solution: Show this stream only on the website.

🧖 Scenario 2: Day-Spa Stream (Not for In-House Guests)

You’ve created a "Day-Spa" stream for external guests – perfect for SEO and social ads.

But your in-house guests already have spa access.

✅ Solution:

  • Hide it in the WebApp

  • Show it via widgets on your website, Google Places, email, social media, etc.

👉 Use streams to tailor who sees what – and where.

✅ Summary: What Streams Do for You

Function Benefit
Organization Group experiences by topic and theme
Control Decide where each stream is displayed
Presentation Customize order and appearance of each stream
Visibility Experiences are only visible where you embed them
Flexibility Create and edit as many streams as you need
