With GiggleTips, you can easily manage participant numbers and capacity for each experience – whether it's for e-bike rentals, guided activities, or limited spots for in-house guests.

1. 📌 When is participant management useful?

You may want to:

  1. Set a minimum number of participants to make the experience worthwhile

  2. Limit participation based on available equipment or space (e.g. bikes, snowshoes)

  3. Distinguish between different participant types (e.g. rental bikes vs. own bikes)

With GiggleTips, you can set all this up quickly and flexibly.

2. ⚙️ How it works – Step by Step

To manage participant numbers:

  1. Open the relevant experience in the CMS.

  2. Go to Step 3: “Is this experience bookable?”

  3. Open the “Tickets” section.

  4. Click on “Optional Settings”.

  5. Enter the minimum and/or maximum number of participants.

Your options:

  • Set a total capacity (e.g. max. 10 people)

  • Or define capacity per ticket type (e.g. 5 rental bikes, 5 own bikes)

💡 Tip:
Use “per ticket” if you’re offering different categories with their own limits.

3. 🔁 Automations for Minimum Participants

Under Settings > Advanced Settings, you’ll find automation options to simplify your workflow:

  • Switch 1: Guests initially receive an info email only if the minimum number of participants hasn't been reached yet. Once the minimum is reached, new bookings will automatically be confirmed.

  • Switch 2: After the registration deadline, the experience will be:

    • automatically canceled if the minimum hasn’t been reached

    • or automatically confirmed if the minimum has been reached – only for guests who haven’t yet received a final confirmation (if Switch 1 is enabled)

These options can be enabled or disabled independently, depending on how you want to handle confirmations and communication.
