In this article, we’ll show you why some images may appear incorrectly on platforms like Facebook or Google Places – and how you can easily fix this directly in your experience settings.
🔍 What’s the issue?
Platforms such as Facebook and Google favor landscape (horizontal) formats for preview or cover images.
If your images were uploaded in portrait format, parts of the image might appear cut off or displayed in an awkward way.
That’s why it’s important to manually set the landscape version for each experience image.
✅ How to optimize your image for landscape view
-
Open the relevant experience in the Giggle CMS.
-
Click on the image you want to adjust.
-
Switch to the “Landscape” tab.
-
Move and zoom the crop until the image looks right.
-
Click “Done”.
-
Finally, click “Save” to update the experience.
💡 Note: This does not affect how the image appears in portrait view within the ExperienceApp – you can control both formats separately.
📌 Why is this important?
With a properly adjusted landscape crop, your experiences will be displayed in the best possible way across multiple platforms:
-
📱 Facebook
-
📍 Google Places
✅ Conclusion
✔️ Make sure each image has a customized landscape crop
✔️ Your visuals will appear correctly, professionally, and attractively across all channels
✔️ This helps drive more clicks, better visibility, and higher booking conversions
