In this article, we’ll show you how to make certain experiences – such as hotel information, check-in instructions, weather updates, or menus – visible only to your on-site guests.
Do you have experiences that shouldn’t be publicly accessible, but are intended exclusively for guests who are currently at your location?
Then just follow these two steps:
1. 📦 Create a dedicated stream for on-site content
Set up a separate stream for internal content, such as “Good to Know” or “Hotel Information”.
This stream should:
-
not be embedded on your website,
-
but instead be shown on-site via:
-
the ExperienceApp for guests (under Share experiences > ExperienceApp), or
-
your existing guest info tool.
-
This ensures your content is only visible locally.
2. 🔎 Hide from search engines
To make sure your content cannot be found via Google, please check the following setting for each experience:
-
Activate the “Hide from search engines” switch
→ For experiences with the “Information” category, this switch is already enabled by default.
→ You’ll find this setting at the very bottom of the experience under Advanced Settings.
💡 Tip: You can easily change the category of multiple experiences at once using the bulk actions in the experience list.
By setting them to “Information”, you can exclude all selected experiences from Google indexing in just a few clicks.
✅ Summary
-
Create a dedicated stream for experiences intended only for on-site guests.
-
Do not embed online, but display via your ExperienceApp or guest info tool.
