Enable Online Payments for Experiences (Hobex)

With GigglePay & Hobex, you can allow guests to pay for selected experiences directly online – easily via credit card or Apple Pay. This ensures more binding bookings and helps reduce no-shows.

When does online payment make sense?

This feature is especially useful for:

  • Culinary events
  • Day spa offers
  • Riding lessons or guided activities
  • Experiences for external guests
  • Limited-capacity offers

1. Activate Hobex in your account

  1. Go to the CMS: Settings → GigglePay
  2. Enable Hobex as your payment provider.
    We will then initiate the connection with Hobex for you.
  3. Hobex will contact you directly to complete the setup
  4. You will need a Hobex account (including bank details, etc.)
  5. The setup usually takes a few days

2. Enter your credentials

Once everything is set up, Hobex will provide you with:
  • Entity ID
  • Access Token
Enter these in your CMS under: Settings → GigglePay
👉This completes the integration.
 

3. Enable payment for an experience

  1. Open the desired experience
  2. Go to Section 3: Booking options
  3. Click on "Yes, bookable"
  4. Scroll to Pro Features → Payment options
  5. Select Hobex as the payment method
  6. Click on "Done" and save the experience

What happens for your guests?

Once Hobex is activated:
  • Guests must pay directly during the booking process
  • Payment is made via credit card or Apple Pay
  • The booking is only completed after successful payment
👉This ensures fully confirmed bookings only.
